Australia on the verge of a $20 billion kick start in clean green investment
Thursday, 30 April 2009 17:43Today's approval of the federal government's renewable energy target (RET) brings Australia to the brink of unleashing more than $20 billion of new clean energy investment.
Clean Energy Council (CEC) chief executive Matthew Warren said the endorsement by the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) is the penultimate step towards the creation of thousands of new green jobs and delivering the first big cuts in national greenhouse emissions.
Australia's Largest Solar Power System
Thursday, 30 April 2009 10:14
Two leading Australian companies will join forces and build Australia’s largest solar power system at the Adelaide Showgrounds
TODAY it has been announced that Australia’s largest solar photovoltaic power system will be designed and installed by an alliance partnership between National building and engineering company, Built Environs and Solar Shop Australia, a National provider of grid connect solar systems.
The 1MegaWatt (MW) rooftop solar system will be installed over six separate buildings at the Adelaide Showgrounds and is approximately two and a half times the size of the Singleton Solar Power Station in NSW, which surprisingly has remained Australia’s largest solar system for the last 11 years.
Cheap Solar Hot Water
Monday, 27 April 2009 00:30
The cheap solar hot water system is considered as the most effective solar power to obtain hot water. The radiant energy produced by the sun is known as solar energy. Solar energy is clean, free and renewable. The process of solar energy used to heat the water is known as solar heating system. Solar heating system contains solar thermal collectors, a fluid system to move heat from the collector to the point of usage. The advantage of the solar hot water system is that up to 85% of hot water is produced by solar system in any climatic conditions.
Solar thermal installation is considered as cheap and best for residential purposes and can be divided into two parts, pumped and compact systems. They include auxiliary energy source that is activated when the temperature of the water that is in the tank falls below 50o C, and this is the reason solar hot water is available all the time.
Clean Coal Electricity Plants
Wednesday, 15 April 2009 20:08
A clean coal technology is vital for reducing environmental pollution. Coal is a fossil fuel which comprises of primarily carbons and hydrocarbons. When coal is burned, it produces emissions that contribute to global warming.
It is actually available abundantly across the world but the key aspect is how we can figure out a way to use coal as clean as possible. It is a new generation process that greatly reduces air emissions and other pollutants from coal burning plants. With coal being cheap, readily available and a major source to generate low cost power, the Government is focused to provide clean coal through advanced technologies. Few clean coal technologies helps in solving this problem.
Kaneka Solar Panels - Choosing a solar panel to suit your needs
Thursday, 26 March 2009 09:55
There are so many solar panels out there that it makes it very hard to choose which will suit your home. The Kaneka Panel is one that stands out above the rest. The Kaneka panel is know for its excellent quality and efficiency. Kaneka panels produce a high voltage which is best suited for “grid connector systems” and other high voltage applications such as water pumps.
The Kaneka Solar Panel is widely available in many sizes to suit any application and budget.

Australian Government Solar Rebate
Monday, 20 April 2009 00:30
In Australia, the government is planning on having the Solar Power Credits scheme by middle of 2009 to meet the demand under Solar Homes and Communities Plan. Government's primary means of supporting the installation of solar power systems will be taken over by the Solar Credits from Solar Homes and Communities Plan. The Australian Government Solar Scheme will work with industry so that the transition to the new arrangement is done effectively.
As per the solar power credit scheme, Australian government Solar Scheme provides cash rebates for installing solar photovoltaic systems at homes and community buildings. Schools are generally not eligible for this scheme, but are eligible for grants under the National Solar Schools Program from July 2008 to June 2015. Under the Australian government Solar Scheme, cash rebates are available to householders, housing estate developers, display home builders, and owners of the community use buildings.
